More conservation, less admin
Website, Systems and Integrations, AI and Automation

The opportunity
C4 has protected the Wet Tropics for more than 30 years. As it grew, welcoming more volunteers, events and programs, its website and systems no longer reflected the scale of its work. A refreshed identity and a modern platform were the natural next step, without adding headcount a lean team could not sustain.
Our response
We overhauled C4's digital ecosystem end to end. We extended the brand from the landscape and character of the region and applied it across web, social and print, then rebuilt the technology behind it: a fast, accessible WordPress site with a modular content structure, integrated forms and Stripe payments, Airtable databases with Zapier automations for admin and onboarding, and a Google Workspace and Canva setup so the team can produce on-brand material without a designer.
Impact
The work drew media attention, including a feature on ABC Back Roads and a recurring cassowary-conservation segment on 4KZ, and C4 was showcased at the ALCA national conference. The in-house team now manages content, design and communications independently, with connected systems reducing admin, and supporter records centralised for new citizen-science programs.
What's next
We're continuing to scale C4's citizen-science programs with online data collection and dashboards, and building a knowledge hub that lets new members explore three decades of conservation history conversationally.
